For years my family and I have made several pilgrimages to the Pine Island sound area to fish in tournaments and hang out with our favorite group of fishermen, guides, captains and mates.
We’ve always felt welcome at Cabbage Key or The Tarpon Lodge which are run by the most enjoyable owners, management, and staff. We always have fun, catch fish, and eat well. Occasionally we even have a couple of beverages while swapping versions of fish stories at the Dollar Bar at Cabbage Key or the bar at The Tarpon Lodge.
