Team Fish Dawgs is under the command of Captains B.K. Ankrum and Kellen Ankrum. Both of whom are under the command of their respective mates Donna and Melissa. We try not to take ourselves too seriously but we've been known to fish hard and long when the bite is on.
Our first tounament competition as a team was the "Hunt for Reds in October" sponsed by Maverick boats. It was held October 28th, 2007 and was headquartered at The Family Fishing Center at Bay Pines in St. Petersburg. Team Fish Dawgs took a first in the Womens Division with Mellissas' Red and finished just out of the top 5 spots for the Men's Division. There were approximately 250 competitors in the tournament. The weather was horrible, winds of 15 to 25 knots, but we boated and culled appoximately 35 to 40 reds before the bite diminished. We had a great time and will compete again next year.
